Baptism

Baptism is the basic Sacrament of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. With the new birth through water and the word, we are freed from sin and regenerated as sons and daughters of God.

Baptism is your child's initial response to God's desire to dwell in his or her heart. While you can participate in our Baptism formation process at any time, we encourage you to take part in it during your pregnancy so this initial response to God can be celebrated soon after your child's birth.

Where do we start?

The Baptismal Preparation Journey

Once you submit the Baptismal Intake Form, someone from the parish staff will be in contact with you to guide you as you bring your child to baptism. That journey is unique, considering your own journey of faith and whether this is your first child, your second, or your seventh.
