- Hope Does Not Disappoint
  St. Paul says in his letter to the Romans, “Hope does not disappoint.” What kind of hope is St. Paul talking about? I think some might argue with St. Paul on that point. For many people, many hopes are not realized. Many dreams are not fulfilled. Many plans do not work out.
  If Scripture is the Word of God and God does not deceive, what is the Hope that St. Paul speaks of? He speaks of the Hope that is rooted in Jesus Christ! The Hope that makes the impossible possible. Hope in Christ is the surest hope. It is the Hope that does not disappoint! Why? Because Jesus rose from the dead on the first Easter Sunday!
  In this Jubilee Year, we are joining the rest of the Universal Church in pondering the gift and theological virtue of Christian Hope. We need the gift of Christian Hope to face the curveballs of life. Today, so many deal with despair, disappointment, and doubt. Christian Hope is the virtue that roots us in God’s goodness in Christ, and how we can trust that goodness to be there for us in the future. The two things certain in life are not death and taxes, but rather God’s goodness and love.
  This Lent we will walk as Pilgrims of Hope to be renewed in Christian Hope!
  The high point of our Lenten Observance will be the parish mission we will have on the evenings of March 16–18, 2025. Please put those dates in your calendar and come join us for a family friendly, hope inspiring, and renewing parish mission that will deepen your faith, hope, and love.
  With Lent to renew us, we can truly celebrate Easter that celebrates our greatest Hope – Jesus, victorious over death and sin.

  Join us for a transformative Lenten Parish Mission: “Renewed in Hope”
  This three-evening event is an opportunity to encounter Christ more deeply, be renewed by the Holy Spirit, and be equipped to share and live your faith with others.
  Each evening will start at 6:30 p.m. and feature a dynamic talk and inspiring music by Chris Bray, full-time Catholic speaker and musician, along with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

  Jesus waits to stretch our hearts as we encounter Him in service. The cost of food has emptied food-pantry shelves. Our Blue Bags for sharing food on the first weekend of the month are needed more than ever. An envelope for making a donation to our St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) is included among the weekly contribution envelopes mailed to your home. - Knights of Columbus Baby Shower
  
  The Knights of Columbus Councils #510, #10069, #5513 and #15813 will be holding their 20th Annual Baby Shower from March 5 – April 11. Donations can be placed in the baby crib on display at St. Columbkille's Parish in the center vestibule. A list of requested items (diapers, newborn outfits, blankets, etc.) will be available in the crib. All donations will be given to Birthright.
